According to the CyberSeek, the metro Washington area has a very highest concentration of the unmet cybersecurity talent in all over the country, with more than 43,200 unfilled cybersecurity jobs. Bret Fund, the CEO, and founder of SecureSet said in press release that there are many more individuals who are looking for the right path to rewarding in the cybersecurity career. These type of the partnership with HackEd is one of the perfect complement to some existing programs which will bring more opportunities for the immersive cybersecurity education to a source of technical professionals.

UNDERSTAND HOW TO BETTER INCORPORATE SECURITY INTO THEIR CURRICULUM?

To understand how to incorporate security into their curriculums better has been the biggest challenge for many of the boot camps. As they change to a new campus under the direction of the Jon Ferris, founder of HackEd, and the two organizations will continue to serve the increasing need for the cybersecurity professionals in the region.
Ferris said that HackEd had always had a similar philosophy to SecureSet when it came to delivering the immersive education. By joining these forces, they have enhanced ability to deliver the high-quality education to a broader range of companies and individuals who are looking to intensify their cybersecurity skills in the Washington, D.C., and beyond.
In the year 2016, HackEd aimed to build a very strong cybersecurity community that brings the kind of hands-on-keyboard training often lacking in the cybersecurity industry and the Washington metro area particularly. The result has been a set of students, instructors, employers, enthusiasts, applicants, alumni and job applicants are coming together over the past 18 months with the most common aim of solving the issue of the cyber-talent shortage.
However, the HackEd has already made some great strides with its eight-week program which focused on the infiltration testing and also with the network defense. Moreover, the HackEd has already provided students chance to connect with the local showcase and employers what they learned from them, and also better positioning participants to find the employment while serving the needs of the employers who are struggling to find some highly qualified candidates.
Now, the SecureSet has had more than the 250 students to go through with their programs with a standard placement rate which is above 90% within the months of graduation.

What kind of Surface Phone is Microsoft dreaming of?

Recently, Microsoft has been working on developing a latest and new device for its Surface range. It is going by the code name which is called as Andromeda; the device is deliberation to have a hinged a dedicated operating system and also dual display design.
The report also states that different patents have been filed by Microsoft, and the firm is also developing a device that featuring two screens which is linked by a hinge system and which can also fold out to make a single, and larger display.
However, the folding design will also make the device greatly portable and possibly even the pocket-sized. In a true Surface-style, a stylus might also be on the program for the easy note-taking.
In fact, it could turn out to be several kinds of the hybrid device, for use as a Smartphone when it is closed and a tablet when it opens. However, it could prove a gamble for the Microsoft which is now outshining in the mobile market by Apple and Google.
Although the project has been appearing to be in a comparatively advanced stage, and no any official information has been released about the device. The consumer tech media is thus far to publish any of the tech specs connecting to the device. However, it could officially launch by the end of 2018.
Andromeda has irked the interest of various designers who have been sharing replicates of their own visualizations of the product online.

Cyber-Attacks Caused Over 18 Days of NHS Downtime

According to the new Freedom of Information (FOI) data released by the Intercity Technology, more than 17% of NHS trusts experienced security-related to the downtime over the last three years that is leading to above 18 days of IT outages.
However, the IT solutions provider received the FOI responses from 80 trusts, which is around a third of the total in England.
Of those 25 (31%) have claimed to experienced IT outages between January 2015 and February 2018, with 14 of them is a result of a security breach. And in total, almost 80 responding trusts have been suffered by the 18 security incidents which are leading to over 18 days of the downtime.
The overall figure for the IT downtime exceeded to the 1300 hours, which averages out to more than the 16 hours per trust. The number for downtime and breaches would no doubt have been even greater and also had more Trusts responded.
According to the Intercity Technology, while the WannaCry ransomware outages of May 2017 will have reported for a very large number of these security breaches, and some of the responding organizations also fell victim to the Zepto and Locky variants, with the most rigorous attack knocking the systems offline for almost two weeks,
It is expected that the WannaCry led to the cancellation of almost 19,000 operations and appointments, troublemaking as a minimum of 34% of trusts in England.
However, the Ian Jackson is responsible for the leading public, and private sector partnerships at the Intercity Technology argued that the latest cybersecurity funding boost will be announced by the government soon and will also have a limited impact.
Ina Jackson told on a blog post that the extra £150m which has recently been set away to advance the cyber defenses which will merely ensure that NHS IT systems are brought up to date, and also act as a sticking plaster on under-investment and also the continued use of the legacy operating systems. What is needed is smarter and also continued with the investment in IT systems and security defenses to ensure the long-term protection.
As saw with WannaCry, a very successful cyber-attack on a healthcare organization can have an enormous impact on its day-to-day operations. By following these attacks, it is encouraging to see trusts across the country by making paces towards improving their protection, and the cybersecurity industry is surely working in collaboration with these trusts to avoid future incidents.
